Plug n Drive is a South African EV charging company. What is an OCPP charging management platform? +
It is software that connects EV chargers over the OCPP protocol, so an owner can see charger status, follow sessions, collect payments and report revenue from one dashboard. The Plug n Drive OCPP Platform supports OCPP 1.6J.
Which chargers work with the Plug n Drive OCPP Platform? +
Chargers that support the OCPP 1.6J standard. The platform has been tested on live chargers. Send us your charger model and we will confirm compatibility during a demo.
How much does the platform cost? +
Plans start at R 399 per month for 1 charger, plus a 5% transaction fee on charging revenue. Plans scale up to CPO Enterprise, on quote, for 51 or more chargers.
Can drivers pay by scanning a QR code? +
Yes. The platform supports QR payments, so drivers can pay for a session at the charger and you follow the revenue on a live dashboard.
How is charging for a complex or business priced? +
Every site is quoted individually after a free site assessment, with no obligation. Financing options can be discussed case by case. Residents pay only for their personal charger and their actual electricity usage.
How much does a charger cost, installed? +
Chargers start from R 8,999, supplied and installed by a certified team. Models range from 7kW to 100kW.
Can I manage sites in more than one currency? +
Yes. Each site runs in its own currency: ZAR, MZN, NAD, BWP, USD or EUR. This suits operators across southern Africa.
